The Turntable has been renovated, and the control shack almost complete!
We are very excited to reveal the work that Ken Staves and Brad Patchin have been doing to restore/renovate the turntable. The floor of the turntable is now restored to looking as it did back when it was a functioning railroad. The control shack has been rebuilt, looking very much as it did when full operational. This was funded by both LP Building Solutions in Hayward through a grant, Ken Staves (in honor and memory of Sue Staves), and Brad Patchin. Thank you VERY MUCH! It is such an honor to have dedicated, passionate folks who are so interested in providing educational, historic details for our community. The railroad is the reason Spooner exists!
