Wisconsin Lumberjacks provide hours of community service at the Railroad Park
On Tuesday, September 28, 2021, the Wisconsin Lumberjacks and their coach Doug Lein devoted many hours of amazing community help today at Spooner Railroad Park. They painted and stained the west and south sides, freshening up the dark brown wood on the south, and adding color to the “chipboard” windows. Their efforts, along with some of the Friends of the Railroad Park and Railroad Park Board really made a huge difference, giving our beloved roundhouse an uplift. She now looks even more purposeful and grand. (Eventually there will be real windows in the roundhouse.) The project is not quite done, but heard they might come and help again!
A shout-out to Jon Alesch, Mike Macone, Ken Staves, Brad Patchin and Fred Kosmach for your hours of work on the project, and Jon provided a hearty lunch from Subway for the group. https://www.facebook.com/spoonerrailroadpark
